Toby came to work with me this morning. He went all over the facility and got attention pets from the residents. He helped me walk with some of the patients, and did great with the wheelchairs and walkers. He was a little scared of the power chairs, but that doesn't surprise me. After a long morning of being cute, in the afternoon, he curled up on this sheet and towel and took a nap. He was such a good boy!

Pampered Chef
Here is my new Pineapple slicer in action. It makes cutting a fresh pineapple so much easier! All you have to do is cut the top and bottom off, then put the slicer on and push down. It takes the core out of the middle, takes the sides/"peel" off, and leaves the fleshy part of the fruit in two halves. Then, you cut up the two halves however you desire. The whole process takes about a minute or two (and if you have ever actually cut a pineapple by hand, you know how much easier this is). Such a fun kitchen toy!

Flowers coming up
Here is one of the seeds that I planted about a month or so ago. It is nice to see it is coming up already. This plant is called an Egret, when it blooms, the flowers look like the white bird, the Egret, flying through the air. I cannot wait to see how it does!

Twins first birthday at the beach
My twin nephews had their first birthday yesterday, and we are at the beach this weekend. It is amazing to see how much they've grown in the past year.

New Swing
My stepdad helped me put together my new swing. It was so nice sitting out on the back porch tonight swinging and watching the lake.

Happy Easter!
While I did not take these pictures, and I am not in Washington, DC, I wanted to share the experience. Several of my family members are in Washington, DC this week for Spring Break. This morning, they went to Arlington for the Sunrise Easter service, and here are two of the pictures that they took (a special thanks to Robbyn for sharing). I'm sure it was quite a special and memorable experience, and it looks like a beautiful morning.
Happy Easter everyone, and take the time to remember the meaning and the blessing behind the holiday of Easter Sunday.

Good Friday
A friend of a coworker sent an Edible Fruit Basket to work today. One of the popular and cut items was the pineapple piece cut in the shape of a bunny and covered in chocolate. So yummy!
